I say it all the time and I always mean it…the truth is: I love what I do. I have the privilege of documenting the lives of the people who come to me in a way that gives them an actual visual connection to the life they know and experience everyday. It’s always fulfilling to watch the eyes of my clients dance around my images as I show them how I see their lives. It’s like giving them permission to think of their own reality as beautiful and special and something to be treasured. Honestly, I think I’ll treasure this forever.
That brings me to Matt & Brooke. I’ve been fortunate enough to know these two their entire lives…they were babies when I lived in this area the first time, but we’ve seen each other in many different settings over the years. These two have been lovebirds for a long, long time, so when they came to me after they “finally” got engaged (quiet giggles over here) it was my honor to be a part of documenting their lives as they moved toward the alter. These two are comfortable in the best of ways. When I say comfortable, I don’t mean it in the sense of something worn so much it now works. When I say comfortable, I mean it as in they fit so perfectly together that you just know they should be together. They’re like finding that thing you’ve been searching for and when you find it, you just know that’s exactly what you’ve been looking for. You know it so deeply that you stop looking elsewhere. You’re completely satisfied. That’s how these two feel to me. They shine together, they love consistently, and they love each other in a way that I don’t see often. They’re refreshing, they’re solid, and they’ve got what it takes to go the distance.
Matt & Brooke, I am thrilled to be a part of your day tomorrow. And beyond that, I’m thrilled to watch you journey through life together. You two are something special…something I can’t adequately put words to…but I’m so proud to know you both and I’m proud to have you both in front of my lens.
